Did you hear the story while there about the princess who saved Carcassonne from invaders by throwing a pig at them?

The only thing that I know of Carcassonne I read it in a short book about the Cathars.

When I visited carcassonne several years ago, I heard a story that i found fascinating. The city of carcassonne was under siege for a long time. Finally all the food that there was left was one measily pig. The princess's advisors cam and asked what to do, because everyone was starving. The princess then ordered that the last pig be thrown over the wall to the enemy camps below. When the enemy saw the pig, they gave up. The enemy thought that the people of carcassonne had so much food left, that they could throw away a pig, and they didn't want to wait any longer for the carcassonians to give up! So that day the princess saved the city by throwing a pig over the wall.

It is an interesting story, it is necessary to go back many centuries to understand it, assuming that it is true…
